Online this month is a new album from Bluey Woody. This album is somehow back to the roots of his first album "Smiles In The Lounge", which was also fully produced in surround sound, and already available on MySurround.
The music is instrumental smooth jazz. The tracks range from slow (e.g. Summertime, Sweety, Illusion), to mid-tempo (Next Day, Venice Beach, Children, Springtime) and swingy (Sabrina).
The production in true surround sound (see files in dbr.ac3, dbr.wma, dbr.wav formats) is the reason why the listener gets this fantastic feeling of sitting in a jazz club and listening right in front of the band.
This album is the first of a double album of which the second half is not ready yet but it will most probably in the coming months.

"Time for a rag" is the first album of Doctor Rag. As the name implies, the music style is ragtime. This album is fully produced in surround, which shows that the past can also meet the present.
It also illustrates the will of composers to proceed forward in music with the help of technologies,
while retaining a level of nostalgia and respect for the past.
Depending on the tracks, Doctor Rag's self-compositions are sometimes nostalgic ('Hit The Beat'), but mainly sweet and happy (e.g. 'Good Advice', 'A Look In Your Eyes')
As already mentioned, Doctor Rag enjoys living in the present and doesn't reject the help of a synthesizer if the composition requires (e.g. trumpet on 'Hard Dreams' and saxophone on 'Secret of Autumn'), or a second piano track for a solo.
